[Coffee Shop Talks] Books I'm Grateful to Have Read!

There are sooooo many books that I'm grateful for, but I think the one that made the biggest impact was Laurell Hamilton's Guilty Pleasures. This was the beginning of my obsession with urban fantasy and I would lose hours of sleep trying to devour each Anita Blake novel as fast as I could. I'll admit that I slowly fell out of love with this series as time went on, but I'm still incredibly grateful that it led me to so many other amazing urban fantasy authors and series.
Which books are you grateful for?

I read the first three books of this series a while back and I will never forget that giant cobra! Too bad the series turned to shits (for us UF lovers anyway).

As for me, I'm glad I took a chance with Dark Lover and Darkfever. I read Dark Lover when TS was just starting. I wasn't familiar with the sub genres, all I know is fiction and that's it! I saw Dark Lover and requested it. Boom! BDB lover. Darkfever I read before I started blogging, it was also out of curiosity that I started the series because I saw the 5th book and the cover was so pretty I have to read it from the beginning.

Now I'll never be the same.

I really enjoyed the Anita Blake series, especially at first when it was more uf oriented. Yes, it pretty much changes genre as it goes on but I can still enjoy it for what it is now (even though I do wish it would go back to uf)

I've been a huge Anita Blake fan for years. While I haven't enjoyed the past few books (I feel like I'm in couples therapy when reading), I still love the series. It is a series that really help get me back into reading. The year I really got back into reading I picked up, Guilty Pleasures, Bitten by Kelley Armstrong, Moon Called by Patricia Briggs and Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison. I read them all on vacation. Whose to say which one is responsible. They were all so great.
