[Coffee Shop Talks] Obsessions Outside of Books!

Well, this is an easy one. My biggest obsession is CATS! Or more specifically, rescuing cats who are in need of homes. Since last fall I've helped rescue nearly 20 cats & kittens from our local animal control. I've also recently started managing the Facebook page for a local rescue group and attending fundraisers. I absolutely love being an animal rescue volunteer and I don't even mind that it cuts into my reading time =)

Here are some of the babies I am currently fostering.
I began bottle feeding these 3 at around 3 weeks old.

And here are the sick little kittens that I rescued from a
trailer park that is being overrun by strays.

That's so weird. I was just reading this post when you commented on my blog. :). I think it's so awesome that you've been volunteering with animal rescue. I always wish I could foster but my apt doesn't allow any

Sorry sent before I was done commenting.

I was saying I can't have any animals in my apt or I would love to foster. I think m it's really a cool thing to do and think of all the wonderful kitties you are saving. They are all so adorable. Keep up the good work!

Wow they are all so beautiful. Your doing such a great thing!
I'm training to be a veterinary nurse, and when we have stray kittens come in to the clinic, I usually foster them until I can find them a forever home.
Keep up the great work :)

Awww, look at those lovely kitties! So glad there are people like you taking care of them.

Thank you for asking me to guest with you ladies. :)

OMMMMG so much fluffiness and cuteness. I love cats and not a day passes without me looking at cat GIFs or pictures. The black and white kitty looks just like my cat. It's so nice of you to be a rescue volunteer. I would love to do this but in here we don't even have a local rescue group nearby. So what I do is I just feed other cats. It breaks my heart when I hear them meowing knowing that they're hungry.

Ohh, my god, they are all so adorable. I melted all over my laptop. I don't really have real obsession besides books, but I do collect nail polishes. I just can't help myself. :)

Blogger hates me today, so please excuse me if this is a duplicate comment submission...

My obsession is the complete opposite of yours, Cat, cuz I love DOGS. Surprised? ;) Mad props to you for helping out your local shelter group though!

Knitting - and I go in waves where I may read much more than knit, or knit much more than read.

I have so much respect for you that you rescue those sweet babies!!! I love animals, and while I mainly have dogs myself, I've always had a least one cat since I was a kid. They are such individuals and your babies are just the cutest! (Have I mentioned that I love seeing their pics on FB?)

OhmygoshIlovethisfeature! I love cats too! I have 2 that I rescued, they were feral kittens that someone abandoned on my parents farm. They couldn't keep them because farms are not safe for kittens/cats and their dog didn't like cats. Those kittens are so darned cute!
