[Blog Tour] Misbehaving by Tiffany Reisz

Today we are excited to be hosting a blog tour for Tiffany Reisz's hot new book, Misbehaving!  Keep reading for a review of this sexy little book.

Wanted: Adventurous, open-minded man willing to try…anything…  As a popular sex blogger, Beatriz gets paid to have orgasms. So being on deadline the week of her sister's wedding isn't as rough as it sounds. There's just one hitch: Bea's assignment is to write a review of a sex position manual, but she doesn't have a plus-one to play with.  The good news: Ben, the one who got away back in college, is also attending stag—and he's as temptingly gorgeous as ever.  The bad news: Ben turned down Bea's offer of graduation-night sex five years ago.  The best news: He's not planning on making the same mistake twice….

Misbehaving is a light, sweet and funny second chance romance written by the Queen of Erotica, Tiffany Reisz.  This was a fun and light-hearted read, completely different from Reisz's other amazing series.  Misbehaving follows a week in the life of sex toy blogger and reviewer, Bea, and her former almost flame, Ben.  The two become reacquainted rather quickly, sparks fly, and the rest is history.

I love Tiffany Reisz.  A lot.  I appreciate her ability to write erotica with a side of darkness.  She is a writer that is real and raw.  This book had a much lighter tone than some of her other work.  It only goes to show her diversity.  This book is very well written, snarky and amusing.  Tiffany can write about different sex positions with a huge helping of humor on the side.  I loved the reacquaintance of Bea and Ben - it was sexy and passionate - everything I've grown accustomed to from this author.

The sex scenes were smoking hot!  There were scenes in the bed, in the shower and everywhere in between.  Reisz has a talent for writing engaging sex scenes that don't take themselves too seriously.  The moment where the sex crosses over from "research" to "real" was nuanced and subtle.

The one thing that I didn't like was the lack of character development.  This is a rather quick read with a typical problem-solution ending.  As fun as this book was to read, I didn't feel very connected to the characters, and I can only blame that on the short time we got to meet them.  Bea was sasssy and self-confident; character traits that I love in a leading lady.  Ben was handsome and compliant, but he didn't strike me as the alpha-type hero that I love.  I barely go to know the supporting characters, but from what I gathered, they were enjoyable as well.

If you are looking for a quick, light read to get you through some cabin fever, or need a sexy beach read that doesn't require too much thought, this is a perfect little gem.  It will bring a smile to your face!  I would recommend this book to all erotica fans and to those who haven't read the genre before.  This would be a perfect first erotica book.

Tiffany Reisz lives in Lexington, Kentucky with her boyfriend (a reformed book reviewer) and two cats (one good, one evil). She graduated with a B.A. in English from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and is making both her parents and her professors proud by writing BDSM erotica under her real name. She has five piercings, one tattoo, and has been arrested twice.

When not under arrest, Tiffany enjoys Latin Dance, Latin Men, and Latin Verbs. She dropped out of a conservative southern seminary in order to pursue her dream of becoming a smut peddler. Johnny Depp’s aunt was her fourth grade teacher. Her first full-length novel THE SIREN was inspired by a desire to tie up actor Jason Isaacs (on paper). She hopes someday life will imitate art (in bed).

If she couldn’t write, she would die.

Agree that this is a super cute, fast read that would be perfect for the beach.
