[Coffee Shop Talks] Books I Refuse to Read!

There is only one book that I know for certain I will never read and that's the conclusion to the Sookie Stackhouse series. There was so much negativity surrounding the story and there were spoilers in almost every discussion. Nothing I read about it was good.

I'm normally a gal who likes to think for herself and form my own opinions instead of solely relying on the opinions of others, but in this case I'm sure I've read enough information to know that I would not be happy with Dead Ever After. It stands alone on the list of books I refuse to read.

What about you? Are there any books you refuse to read?

Ugh! I actually bought Dead Ever After. Good thing is, I read it the same day I received it on my kindle - it took me about 30 minutes tops. And I was so disappointed! I gave it 1 star, and returned it to amazon for refund...
I think the whole 50 Shades of Grey series is my book that I won't read. I just don't feel like it at all. I don't think I'll enjoy it, based on the parts of the fanfic that I have peeked at, so why spend my time on it, right?
Happy reading :)

Honestly, I don't have any book on my Refuse to read list, probably I will never read the sequel of The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by Anne Rice. I didn't like it at all so the book two is a NO for me.

I would have to agree with you about this book, Cat. Even before it was released I just knew that I didn't want to read it.

I refuse to read FSoG. With so much hype around it and the movie and then folks signing petitions to get certain actors out of the movie, wth?! Anyways, I've seen good and bad reviews about, but I rather just avoid it all together.

I can see why you wouldn't want to read this one. I never got that far in the series...too many books, too little time... :) but I liked what I've read and after reading all the mixed/negative reviews for Dead Ever After, I was scared. :)

I can't think of any books I refuse to read - but I can say there are a few authors that I avoid at all costs. :)

I didn't think this book was that bad. I mean it wasn't great but I am definitely glad that I finished the series.

I don't usually say never to anything except I doubt I will ever read 50 Shades. What little pieces I have read were not good for me and I doubt I'll ever want to read the whole thing.
