The Telltale Heart or Carrie. Both are scary.

Kamla L. said...

Although I love watching horror movies, I don't really read horror stories. I tried reading Stephen King's Salem's Lot when I was a teenager and it scared the living %*^(*^(*@*()*)&^ out of me so much so that I not only had to put the book down but I hid it from myself. Yep, I can laugh about it now but I slept with all the lights on for a very very very long time after that. So, I'll stick with reading PNR and UF which isn't really scary.

I love scary books, but even more so, I love a good mystery, especially a murder mystery. As such a fan, I love Agatha Christie and nothing can get better than And Then There Were None. So many books and movie today take after this book and don't get anywhere near it!

If you have never read Mary Shelly's "Frankenstein," you are truly missing out. I still have the memory of sitting in my college dorm reading the book one night, and right as the monsteer is appearing at the window in the story, someone tapped on my window! Talk about freaky!
