[Coffee Shop Talks] Who are your favorite new authors?

Not A Drop to Drink was a story with a simple concept. A young girl learns to survive in a world where clean water has become scarce and she spends her time guarding her pond and gathering supplies. It almost sounds boring, doesn't it? But from the very first page, I couldn't put this book down. McGinnis is an amazing story teller and if you love emotional, character driven stories, then you should check out Not A Drop to Drink.

Another author on the "must-stalk" list is Demitria Lunetta. In the After was an awesome post-apocalyptic survivor story with plenty of intense moments and terrifying creatures lurking around every corner. I'm so glad I took a chance on this author and I can't wait to read In the End next year.

The first author that comes to mind is the ah-mazing Madeline Sheehan. She is the author of two (current) fabulous series: The Holy Trinity series (first book published in 2012) and the Undeniable series (first book published in 2012). The two series are completely different - one is a paranormal, dystopic romance that includes skin eaters, gypsies, magic and one heck of a dragon; the other is about a raw, tough-as-hell biker gang knows as Hell's Horsemen. She is a fantastic story-teller who is a no-holds-barred type of writer. I am in  love with both of these series.

The other author I thought of was Willow Aster. Willow's first book, True Love Story debuted this year. Her characters Sparrow and Ian blew me away with their angsty, new adult love story. Her book is an extremely well-written and angsty love story that had me begging for more!

See which new authors the other ladies have on their list!

I've been hearing such good things about Not A Drop to Drink. In the After sounds fantastic. I don't take many chances on debut authors so I love seeing lists like this.

I haven't read any of these but they sound fabulous! So I'm off to add them to the TBR (and maybe to B&N to pick up one or two)!

In the After sounds right up my alley! Terrifying creatures in a post-apocalyptic world? Heck yes! I'll be checking that one out for sure.

A fairly new author I adore is Cecy Robson. her Weird Girls series is fantastic and I definitely suggest checking it out if you haven't already! =D

I have recently discovered quite a few new to me authors. Claire Contreras, Kate Bloomfield, Cora Carmack, Tarryn Fisher...I could just keep going.
