Thank you for hosting me on your blog! It is greatly appreciated! ~ Danica

Can you share with us a brief description of what your Nymph series is all about?

The Nymph Series is based on one fact: Nymphs are cursed. When they fall in love with a human man, the man is fated to die.

Who doesn’t love the allure of forbidden love? I know I loved the premise as do my regular readers!

In each of the books within the Nymph Series, a different nymph is faced with their own set of circumstances and their own experience with love. I promise they will all surprise you. Just when you think you have the mystery figured out there will be a little more to keep you guessing (Montana Mustangs).

Each of the books can stand-alone, but I would recommend reading them in order as they build on each other and some of the books to come will focus on characters that have already appeared within the series.

You can only pick 3 words for your main characters… what would they be?

Aura Montgarten: Headstrong, mysterious, and lonely

Dane Burke: Jaded, determined, and work-centered

You've written about several different paranormal creatures. Which has been your favorite and which do you plan on writing about next?

Oh I love writing paranormal characters. I don’t know if I could pick a favorite. I love the ability to shape-shift, but I’m also going through a stage where I’m in love with magic. Or at least things that look like magic to the inexperienced paranormal-eye.

An upcoming character is a medium and I’m currently researching the practice as well as seeing mediums in action. It has been such a fun experience.

I’m an author who never can do enough research for the books I’m writing—I’m always working on learning new things.

For Montana Mustangs, I had the chance to go on a Police Ride-along for research into Law Enforcement practices.  I also had the chance to horseback into high-mountain lakes to learn more about horse behavior and psychology.  I always love the adventures I can create behind the story as well as within!

What occupies your time when you're not writing?

I’m first and foremost a mom. I think I could leave it there and other mom’s would understand, but allow me to elaborate.

I’m not just a mom. I’m the seemingly anti-social mom who sits in her car while waiting for my kids and writes (but I swear I’m friendly and fun). When I’m not writing, I’m editing on my Kindle. I think most who don’t know me would think I’m a huge nerd… Oh, wait… I may actually be one.

When I’m not writing (or taking care of my small kiddos), I enjoy the outdoors of Montana. Right now the flowers are blooming in purples, yellows, and whites. It’s hard to force myself to be behind the computer.  I’m also the Promotions and Marketing Manager for a publishing house called Books To Go Now.

What have been some of your favorite novels so far this year?

Right now I’m really enjoying (and hating) Jodi Picoult. She’s dark and I get so angry at her stories, but then I realize how powerful her writing is to create such a visceral response. She’s an amazing author.

Danica Winters is a bestselling author who is known for writing award-winning books that grip readers with their ability to drive emotion through suspense and often a touch of magic.  When she’s not working she can be found in the wilds of Montana working on her patience while she tries to understand the allure of various crafts (quilting, pottery and painting are not her thing).  She always believe the cup is neither half full nor half empty, but it better be filled with wine.

I'm with you all--the crazier the animal the better for a shifter :) Happy Reading!
