Alexia Tarabotti, the Lady Woolsey, awakens in the wee hours of the mid-afternoon to find her husband, who should be decently asleep like any normal werewolf, yelling at the top of his lungs. Then he disappears - leaving her to deal with a regiment of supernatural soldiers encamped on her doorstep, a plethora of exorcised ghosts, and an angry Queen Victoria. But Alexia is armed with her trusty parasol, the latest fashions, and an arsenal of biting civility. Even when her investigations take her to Scotland, the backwater of ugly waistcoats, she is prepared: upending werewolf pack dynamics as only the soulless can. She might even find time to track down her wayward husband, if she feels like it.

The second volume in the Soulless manga series is another lovely Parasol Protectorate adaptation. Full of mystery, steampunk mechanics, sabotage and conspiracy.

A strange occurrence of humanization has affected the local supernatural population and it's up to Alexia to discover the cause before it continues to spread.
She finds herself traveling to Scotland along with Ivy, Tunstell, Felicity, and Madame Lefoux.

During the dirigible ride, she discovers her life is in danger when she is pushed over the railing, adding the mystery of the identity of her attempted murderer.

Once they safely land, Alexia is introduced to Conall's former Clingair pack and we learn an interesting story about Lord Maccon's past.

The story was an action-packed adventure thanks to Alexia's knack for finding trouble and Ivy's dramatics added a delightful touch of humor. This is a must-read for any fans of steampunk mystery.

Soulless: The Manga Volume 3 is scheduled to release June 2013.
