Book Buzz [5]

Welcome to our new feature, where we'll talk about the books we've received for review, the books we've borrowed and bought, and books that we learned about from other blogs. We might also sneak in some posts we read that we feel are worth spreading around the blogosphere.

In the After by Demitria Lunetta @ Icey Books
The Sweetest Torture by Amanda Bonilla @ Yummy Men & Kick Ass Chicks
The Gravedigger's Brawl by Abigail Roux @ Sinfully Delicious Book Reviews
The Guardian of Bastet recommended via Goodreads by Emma-Louise Violet
How Beauty Met the Beast by Jax Garren @ Feminist Fairy Tale Reviews

Ilona Andrews free story "Questing Beast" was sold, without permission, on Amazon for $5.99 by a company named PD Publishers. Shortly after it was announced on their FB fan page, followers responded with a flood of one star reviews and the purchasing option was quickly removed by Amazon.

Amazon's top three self-published bestsellers for the week of October 29, 2012 include The Secret of Ella and Micha by Jessica Sorensen, Losing It by Cora Carmack, and Down to You by M. Leighton.

The Secret Santa sign-ups began last Thursday. I think this was a great idea and the best part is that you don't have to be a blogger to participate! Click the image above to visit the sign-up page.

I'm currently reading How Beauty Met the Beast by Jax Garren. I'm not very far in the story so I can't tell ya if I'll like it or not but there has already been on HOT scene. LOL

I'm tempted to check out Cowgirls & Vampires.

I hope that Ilona Andrews slaps that douche bag with a law suite. The nerve!!

Thanks so much for spreading the word on the Secret Santa! It's going to be so much fun surprising fellow readers with books.

Sharonda - Glad you enjoyed it! You know, if you reviewed Out in Blue, that may have been why I added it to my TBR. I occasionally forget where I find some of these books.

Jennifer - I'll have to look out for your review of How Beauty Met the Beast. Hope it doesn't disappoint. Looking forward to Secret Santa. Thanks for hosting it.

Braine - I love the cover for it. Very cute. Hopefully I will have time to read it soon.
