Feature & Follow [11]

Feature & Follow is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.  It is a fun way to meet new bloggers and to keep in touch with bloggers you already know!  Please feel free to follow us via Linky, e-mail or GFC.  If you leave a comment and link, we will visit your blog, too!  Check us out on Twitter:  Cat and Jamie

Q:  Fight! Fight! If you could have two fictional characters battle it out (preferably from books), who would they be and who do you think would win?

A:  My match up is Jenni from Rhiannon Frater's As the World Dies zombie series vs. Kate Daniels from Ilona Andrews' Kate Daniels series.  Both of these female characters are strong, tough and determined.  They are both fighters and are driven to protect those that they love.

Jenni is the everyday human woman.  She's beautiful and smart.  Unfortunately, Jenni is a battered housewife and suffers from PTSD since her husband and children were turned into zombies and tried to eat her.  But Jenni overcomes her feelings, and becomes a fierce, zombie killing machine, even if she's a bit "loca."

Kate Daniels is the tough girl from magic-infused Atlanta.  She can wield magic when the world is in a magic wave.  She's intelligent and smart, always playing her cards close to the vest.  Kate has to deal with magical bad guys on a daily basis and always finds a way to save the day along with her alphalicious man, Curren.  Let's face it, Kate has to be tough when her own dad is trying to either kill or find a way to use her.  And she has a big, magic induced sword to help her along the way.

Although Jenni is tough and crazy (and she's one of my favorite heroines, ever), if she were to meet Kate during a magic wave, she wouldn't stand a chance.  Jenni would fight hard and wound Kate, but the magic would be too strong for Jenni to handle.  She would eventually succumb.  Kate has too many tricks up her sleeve.

Okay - which characters would you like to see fight?

Jenni has a trump card.

*evil grin*

Giselle said...

JENNI FTW!! She'll punch a zombie, throw it at that Kate chick and that'll take care of that. *dusts hands*

Rhiannon Frater said...

I was thinking Nerit, but Giselle...that was pretty epic.

Addicted2Heroines said...

Giselle - LOL! Love it. I'm not yet familiar with Jenni, but any chick willing to fight that dirty is a winner in my book.

Jamie said...

@Giselle - Bwahhhhh!!!

Although Kate has the upper hand in magic, Jenni is one scrappy girl - willing to risk anything. That's why she's one of my most favorite heroines ever :) Seriously.
