Q: What is the best book you've read in the last month? What is the worst book you've read in the last month?
A: My favorite book of the month is a very difficult decision. There are so many choices for me to include. My first favorite book I've read this month is:
I know I'm late to the Fifty Shades party, but I cannot put into words how much I loved this dark, sexy and twisted book. This is a book (heck, a series) that I can't stop thinking about, although I've finished reading it. I know it's controversial, and it isn't a book for everyone, but for me, this book was excellent.
I also loved Blood on the Bayou. Anabelle Lee is such an excellent character and author Stacey Jay is a very talented writer. If you haven't read this series, please run to the nearest bookstore and pick it up!
And I certainly couldn't leave this out:
There is no series I like to cuddle up more with than Stacia Kane's Downside Ghosts series. Sacrificial Magic has been a long time coming and it doesn't disappoint! I could read about Chess and Terrible until the end of time!
I haven't read what I would consider a terrible book all month long, but if I had to chose, I'll chose this book that I gave a three-star rating to:
Although I love this author's other work, this book just didn't do it for me. I didn't connect with the plot or the characters as much as I would have liked to. And although this author can write a mighty steamy scene, the scenes in this particular book fell flat for me.
Those are my bests and worsts of the month! What is your favorite read of the month? Did you read something awful, too? Leave us a comment and let us know! We'd love to hear from you!
