Review : Eternal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, Book 1) by Larissa Ione

They are here. They ride. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

His name is Ares, and the fate of mankind rests on his powerful shoulders. If he falls to the forces of evil, the world falls too. As one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, he is far stronger than any mortal, but even he cannot fight his destiny forever. Not when his own brother plots against him.

Yet there is one last hope. Gifted in a way other humans can't-or won't-understand, Cara Thornhart is the key to both this Horseman's safety and his doom. But involving Cara will prove treacherous, even beyond the maddening, dangerous desire that seizes them the
moment they meet. For staving off eternal darkness could have a staggering cost: Cara's life.

This story certainly managed to cause a great amount of disappointment in myself for not continuing Ione's Demonica series.

I know the majority of you can understand when I say that I read "Pleasure Unbound" and enjoyed it, but considering the overwhelming amount of bought-but-not-yet-read books on my shelf, I simply didn't make the time to pick the series up again.  You know, too many books and too little time.

So a group read for the release of "Immortal Rider" caused me to pick up "Eternal Rider" and I loved it!

Ione has a special talent for creating intense, captivating stories with the perfect blend of kinky, oh-my-god-I-can't-believe-she-wrote-that sex. It's fabulous.

The originality of her characters' skills and classifications accompanied by the complexity of the story line, creates a fascinating read that you'll find yourself reluctant to put down.

And while the story certainly has its flaws, they're so minor that I'm not going to bother discussing them. I'm just going to suggest that paranormal romance fans read this, even if you haven't started the Demonica series. You won't find it difficult to follow the story, even without knowing the previous characters, and there is even a handy glossary in the front for those who need it.

The synopsis for the sequel, "Immortal Rider", sounds equally as exciting and I can't wait to get started!

Yeah I've heard Ione is one fantastic writer too bad I have yet to read her work. But this review among others is goading me to really give her a try. I need me some to-hot-to-read book.
