Romeo & Juliet : The War, The Legend of Oz : The Wicked West

Well, boys and girls, it's official ...

I'M IN LOVE! <3

I haven't been this excited about a new comic release since Lady Mechanika

Who wouldn't be interested in a battle against genetically enhanced Capulets and powerful Montague cyborgs?!

Here is the synopsis from 1821 Comics

THIS IS THE STORY OF...

Two groups of superhuman soldiers who turned the Empire of Verona into the most powerful territory on earth. The MONTAGUES, powerful cyborgs made of artificial DNA, and the CAPULETS, genetically enhanced humans known for their speed and agility, worked in tandem to destroy all threats to the city. With no one left to fight, the Montagues and Capulets found themselves a new enemy: each other.

THIS IS THE STORY OF...

A young Montague boy and Capulet girl who fall in love. They secretly plan to marry, hoping their union can be what brings peace between the warring factions. But forces beyond their control begin to conspire against them, threatening their love, their lives... and the entire Empire of Verona.

THIS IS THE STORY OF....

A tragedy that spans all of space and time.

THIS IS THE STORY OF...

Romeo and Juliet: The War

Sounds pretty awesome, right?

1821 Comics have been collaborating with Stan Lee and Pow Entertainment to create this futuristic re-telling of Shakespeare's tragic star-crossed lovers.

Romeo and Juliet : The War is scheduled for release in November and will be available as hard or soft cover editions in deluxe over-sized coffee table book form.

You can check out 1821 Comics website for more information and join them on Facebook or Twitter for updates.

Another upcoming release that has recently grabbed my attention is "Legend Of Oz : The Wicked West" published by Big Dog Ink.

"Take a trip back over the rainbow to an Oz you never knew existed. Dorothy Gale slips on her ruby spurs after falling out of the sky and is sent off to follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City. The only problem is - the road is gone!"

Writer Tom Hutchison (Penny for Your Soul, Critter) and artist Alisson Borges place Dorothy in the wild west, sending her on an exciting adventure full of twists and turns.

I recently spotted previews of the artwork over at Facebook. If you want to follow "Legend of Oz : The Wicked West" click here.

The first issue won't release until the end of October, but I've already made my way over to Heavyink.com and my subscription is all set ;)

Your new blog looks great, but why does Goldilox look so sad? I would be one very happy girl if I had three Weres...
